1. Agreement to terms

By accessing or using MELA RSVP at melarsvp.com ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These terms apply to all users including event organisers and RSVP guests.

2. The service

MELA RSVP provides an online platform for creating events and collecting guest RSVPs. Features include event pages, RSVP management, guest list export, and email notifications. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without notice.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an organiser account. By registering, you confirm you meet this requirement.

One free event is available per email address, including if you delete and recreate your account. This limit is enforced at the email level and cannot be circumvented.

4. Payments and refunds

Event passes are sold on a pay-per-event basis. No subscription is required. Prices are shown on the pricing page and may be displayed in your local currency as an estimate — the exact amount is confirmed at checkout.

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. By purchasing, you authorise MELA RSVP to charge the stated amount to your payment method.

All sales are final. We do not offer refunds for purchased event passes. If you experience a technical issue that prevents you from using a purchased pass, contact us at contact@melarsvp.com and we will investigate.

We reserve the right to change pricing at any time. Changes do not affect passes already purchased.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use MELA RSVP to:

Collect personal data from guests without their knowledge or lawful basis
Send spam, unsolicited communications, or misleading content
Impersonate another person or organisation
Create events for illegal, harmful, or fraudulent purposes
Attempt to circumvent payment systems, rate limits, or security measures
Scrape, copy, or reverse-engineer the platform
Violate any applicable law or regulation

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without notice or refund.

6. Guest data and organiser responsibility

As an event organiser, you are the data controller for your guests' personal information collected via RSVP forms. You are responsible for ensuring you have a lawful basis to collect this data, informing guests how their data will be used, and complying with applicable data protection laws in your jurisdiction. MELA RSVP acts as a data processor on your behalf and processes guest data only to provide the Service.

7. Intellectual property

The MELA RSVP name, logo, platform design, and code are owned by us and protected by intellectual property law. You retain ownership of the event content you create. By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to host and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

8. Limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MELA RSVP shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, lost revenue, or reputational damage.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your dashboard settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms, with or without prior notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including liability limitations and intellectual property) will do so.

10. Dispute resolution

In the event of a dispute, we encourage you to contact us first at contact@melarsvp.com so we can attempt to resolve the matter informally. MELA RSVP is an online-only service with no fixed physical jurisdiction.

11. Changes to these terms

We reserve the right to update or replace these terms at any time, at our sole discretion, without prior notice. Changes take effect immediately upon posting. It is your responsibility to review these terms periodically. Continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
